Lucifer's Crossing

General Description

The course starts/finishes at R.H.T's South Shelter (in the cabin area past the Park Office). After a thin-out segment on the park drive including fjordway crossing (you can opt for the catwalk and keep your feet dry but fellow entrants will be encouraged to boo/hiss your softness) before rounding up to the Gorge Trail. A few hundred uphill stairs, several beautiful waterfalls (including the namesake Lucifer's Falls), and a couple pretty sweet historic stone bridge crossings later you'll emerge in the upper park. After a back loop w/ second water crossing you'll cut through to the Finger Lakes Trail for a beautiful rolling single-track descent before a hairpin utility road turn to the finish. One water stop about halfway, though, it being the devil in the details…it's possible the water will be hot.
